Fan Profile – #61 Jef Gould

Name: Jef Gould
Membership number: 61
Location: Derbyshire

Occupation: Contract Support Engineer
Chiefs fan since: 1992

Favourite current Chiefs player: Kareem Hunt

Favourite ever Chiefs player: Priest Holmes

Favourite Chiefs memory: Visiting Kansas City with the Arrowheads Abroad group in 2017, unbelievable experience.

Worst Chiefs memory: Every season ending loss, each one outstrips the last. Thankfully, through extensive therapy I have removed the Herm Edwards era from my memory banks.

Interesting fact about yourself: I have climbed the highest mountains on every planet in the solar system, and I am a compulsive liar.

Other sports teams: There aren’t any, don’t be silly.

Your perfect non NFL Sunday: Curry in the slow cooker, then out for a long walk from pub to pub building up an appetite.

You can take three people on to a desert island with you, who and why: Becky, the love of my life, obviously. The other two, probably the Badger and the Ferret, you’ll meet them on other pages here and then you’ll know why. Can I bring the Redskin too?
What does Arrowheads Abroad mean to you: Family. Having been “the only Chiefs fan in the village” to joining up online and bantering with likeminded nutters, and then meeting up with them and discovering they are actually slightly nuttier than they first appeared. It is a wonderful feeling. Then with the trip to KC last year, that was the icing on the cake, we were a bunch of kids in a candy store, each of us experiencing and understanding the other person’s gobsmacked silence and goosebumps. *Fistbump* love you guys.
