The story so far
After finishing Denver’s season for them, the Chiefs need to stay professional and keep beating bad teams for the next 2 weeks. Another AFC game, another chance to build potential tie breakers for the playoffs. Cleveland started the season in interesting fashion, their opening games were all close and overtime has been a heavy feature for them so far. However they’ve reverted to form and struggled in recent weeks resulting in the sacking of Head Coach and OC. Browns gonna Brown.

Ones to watch
The Inside Linebackers
The Chiefs have invested fairly significantly in the past year on the inside linebacker position. Trading away a 4th for Reggie Ragland, giving a big contract to Anthony Hitchens, the position seemed to be well set for the next couple of years at least. The reality has been, er, less than impressive. With Hitchens likely out with a rib injury could Ben Niemann, an undrafted rookie step up to fill the hole. Literally.
Key matchup
Myles Garrett v O Line.
Garrett is a beast. 8 sacks and 3 forced fumbles, he’s nearly as good as Dee Ford! The Chiefs line will have their hands full trying to keep Mahomes upright. No turnovers is a must this week. Don’t give the Browns any easy opportunities to score. Garrett can create those if the line isn’t fully on song.

What they said
WILLIAMS: They have had a really good year. One of the things I have always tried to do is take a look at the division teams. It is not just the Chiefs, but if you take a look at the familiarity of teams within the division and how they are going about doing it because they get more opportunities each and every year and for a consistent basis in how they do that. We take everything. We take a look at every part of the schedule. Go back to last year to look at it. Think about certain things back when (Chiefs Head Coach) Andy (Reid) was at Philly, and I was at the Washington Redskins at that time. We take a look at those things, too. Try to mimic some of the really good things that have gone on some of the other teams of his and try to minimize some of the stuff that has been explosive to where they have exposed other teams. Our job as coaches is to look at every side of the film and build great videotape for our players to look at, too. It is not just the coaches; it is the players. It is not just going home and playing video games. It is going and studying the stuff that we prepare for them. That have done a really, really good job this week of that. I have been impressed with that. I have kind of walked around and tried to see it from the other sides of the ball and the other areas. I am always in contact with how that stuff is being done on defense. I just wanted to see it on the offense. It has been good.”
What we said
SUTTON: “ Ben did a really good job in preseason. That’s when we obviously saw him the most. Every time he’s gone in, whether in the preseason, a game or practice, he’s a very reliable, very dependable and tough-minded guy. He loves to compete, and he brings a lot of those attributes that I think are associated with the Iowa program of being tough and aggressive and all-out. I think that will serve him well. We feel pretty good about Ben.”
